Now it has Greene King bitter on permantly, as well as Bombardier and Black Horse. I think that the pub is really trying hard to get a wider range of clientelle.

Very dissapointing, the beer(Black Horse for a change)was good as were the staff but the company have changed the discounts for 'diamond club' members from 25% off the whole menu to 2 courses for £7.50 on a limited menu. I assume that this will have happened at the Ship in Rainhill as well as they are both owned by the same holding company.

Had another good meal the other day but there was no Black Horse bitter on for about the 3rd or 4th time I have been in there during the week recently with only Bombardier available.

Not realy a 'pub' these days, more a restaurant. Having said that I find the food very good. It is usually very busy with families on nice weekend days with the beer garden and stuff for the children. This is another house with its own George Wright beer and part of the profits go to Willowbrook hospice.
